Rooted
in Portland, Oregon,
Cracked Pots sprouted
in 1998 from the fertile
minds of garden designer
Tess Beistel and artist
Mary Lou Ablen. Tess
and Mary Lou, both certified
Cracked Pots, are deeply
committed to sustainable
living and to reclaiming
items headed to landfills
by transforming them
into whacky and wondrous
works of garden ornamentation.
Many more Cracked Pots have since joined this nonprofit
organization, collaborating with other groups in a ceaseless dedication
to build stronger communities
through grassroots, sustainable
art projects. We exhibit
the work of over 80 Northwest
artists who are committed
to making provocative
art for the garden from
recycled, reclaimed and
reworked material. |
